Transcription: Probably the first water wheel invented was the vertical water wheel originating from the Middle East and dating back to between the 5th and 3rd century BC. Since then, many variations of the wheel have appeared including hydraulic and horizontal wheels. The one thing they all have in common is that they're utilized to generate power through the use of water.
